History

Friendly Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that was provides trainings, scholarships, and artistic creations that fosters anti-racism, social justice, and peace-building. Friendly Neighbors was originally founded in 2009 to provide educational services and support to minority and undeserved communities. Friendly Neighbors was originally founded by college students and community members who were passionate about helping children and families who need a helping hand. We first started collecting small donations and food to provide basic needs to families without shelter. In 2020, after the death of George Floyd, Friendly Neighbors prioritized providing trainings, courses, and mentorship to individuals and organizations in race, anti-racism, social justice, and sustainable peace-building.
