Novella Helping Homeless By Micah USF professor in Tampa Bay

On Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, we gather to celebrate the release of Dr. Micah Johnson’s novella entitled Never Had a Friend. The book is a part of a multi-medium collection of artistic works that discuss trauma, homelessness, and the capacity for art and positive relationships to foster resilience. It will be an epic event! If you are looking things to do in Tampa Saturday, this is perfect for you.

Purpose of Micah’s novella

The purpose of this collection is to foster support for the 2.5 million children who experience homelessness in the U.S. each year; promote art as a method to help folks heal from traumatic experiences and empower marginalized voices; and launch a targeted performance tour and eventually distribute the piece on a major media platform.

“Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.”

-Booker T. Washington
