Message from a STOMP Lab Alumni that made me cry:

I wanted to send you a thank you message for all of your help in recent years to get me where I am today. This past week, I began medical school at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and I could not have gotten to where I am without your help. Your letter of recommendation clearly made the difference when it came time for medical school admission committees to review my application and I cannot thank you enough for that, I still cannot express how grateful and appreciative I was whenever I read that letter from you. I am very happy with my choice at UCF and I cannot wait to see how things only progress from here. I am so grateful to have met you during my time in undergrad as I believe that you played a crucial role in my development towards the individual I am today that is able to continue my journey towards becoming a physician. I am unbelievably appreciative that you lent me the help and support that I needed to get me where I am today, not everyone was willing to go out of their way to help me and the fact that you did means a lot to me (I spent approximately four months looking to get involved with research before I met you and the College of Medicine Celebration of Research event)… Once again, thank you so much for all that you have done for me and I would love to work on more research projects with you in the future, you have been an unbelievable mentor.
